Marina beach in Chennai is the second longest beach in the world and is the pride of Chennai city. Municipal Corporation of Chennai purchased eight Barber 600HD beach cleaning machines along with tractors from us and we were tasked with five year comprehensive operation and maintenance to clean the entire stretch. Chennai Corporation had previously used Barber machines in the 1980s and were very happy with their performance prompting them to select this technology again. These machines are working not only in the dry areas picking up all litter (cigarette butts, glass shards, plastic, polythene bags and even the litter from the various beach kiosks) but are also cleaning up the wet areas near the tide line. During the Corona pandemic our staff was called in to service to double up as frontline workers and to use the tractors with larvicide sprayers to disinfect various residential neigbourhoods of Chennai
