Guwahati Metropolitan Dev Authority purchased two amphibian excavators as part of the Flood Free Guwahati program to create a diversion channel for the waters of River Brahmaputra that would frequently flood the city. They needed a machine that could work in water, but also in marshy conditions where extremely low ground pressure was required and traditional excavators would get stuck. We supplied two 20 ton amphibian excavators with a JCB superstructure, long reach arm (over 50 feet) and an imported amphibian undercarriage.
