NTPC Super Thermal Power Station at Talcher in Odisha wanted an agency to dredge the fly ash ponds that were full to the brim and could not hold any more material thereby resulting in frequent plant shutdowns and losses of crores. We deployed a hydraulic dredge along with booster pump to dredge the fly ash from the pond and discharge it to a dyke at a head of over 30m. As huge volumes of materials was dredged the dykes were frequently full as well and we shifted the dredge and pipeline to discharge in new locations
